Does anybody remember the various Crystal maze quiz/game machines from the early to mid 90's?
they were the only quiz machine I could win the "jackpot" on :D
the jp only was a fiver plus a bonus fiver if you beat the high score
(the number of gold tickets you collected at the end (50 was always the qualifying amount
If these were emulated I bet the files would be rather large
:)

Thats the problem, quiz machines have so much information in them by necessity!

Modern ones have an entire hard drive for all the questions...

Crystal Maze was board based back then, but I know there is a modern machine that is very recent and expensive... only ever seen one on Ebay!

Seen lots of the 90s Crystal mazes on ebay -- saw one go for £15 but then another for £75 so not too expensive either way. I would buy one but haven't got the room at the moment. The disk space these used wasn't that high as it was predominantly quiz questions. One problem with emulating it was that it was a trackball (but I believe it is either available/ nearly available on the Mage emulator - speak to Elcondor at FF for further info).

The older machines are cheap because they are beyond their siteable life.

The Maygay quiz machines I often work on have a 10 gig drive to hold the questions.
