To be quite honest this is not news to me but a constant threat to the industry!

I make it quite clear to any site that if anyone other than myself uplifts the machine, I consider it to be theft and that anyone who allows it is aiding and abetting! Makes people think twice...

If I was less honest I would travel the country doing this, I can scrap a machine in a couple of hours and make money from the parts too!

I watched this several months back -- Got to say they can't have made that much money as the setup must cost them a few quid.. Not enough profit in it for real fraudsters... Much more likely to get somebody just walk in and walk out with it (I have known several cases of this and it costs nothing!).

It could be cheap enough to set up: get an old van off gypsies so it is untraceable for a few hundred quid, T shirts and sign printing for a tenner each and some fake paperwork.
One fruit machine with note changer generally contains a £250 float, and if fairly new is worth an easy £100 in parts!
Easy money...
