I remember trying to collect them when i was a teenager, I managed about 7 albums then gave up, searching for the earlier stuff was a nightmare before the days of ebay, some of them fetch quite a few quid now!

Yes the early ones are fairly valuable now. Think they were originally tapes only?

Yes it makes me feel old too

The early formats were vol1 lp casette and video (vhs and betamax(remember that))
Lps ran till vol 35
Cassettes ran till vol 63
Cds from now 4 (no now 5,6 or 7) then now 8 till today
(The now 4 cd can go for a hefty amount of money on eBay, A jackpot on rainbow riches may just cover the value   .
videos ran from 1 to 20 (but no vol 19)no idea why! :?

I believe the now 4 cd was an experiment to test the cd format
as there were very few people with cd players in 1984
probably not many cd's were sold and the idea was scrapped(for 3 years anyway)
